Mini RCS is a semi-industrial testing facility for mining operations.
At many mining enterprises, there is a need, before ordering a full-fledged RCS, to conduct pilot tests for X-ray radiometric testing (RRR) of ore from their "own" deposit in the bodies of dump trucks.
For this purpose, Integra Ru LLC has created a set of equipment (mini RKS) that allows such testing. This set of equipment is equipped with an irradiation measuring device (OIU), which can irradiate and measure ore.
To carry out these works, directly at the site, a hangar or workshop is required, allowing loaded dump trucks to enter and exit, equipped with a crane beam.
To perform the RRO, the Contractor (LLC "Integra RU") delivers the irradiating and measuring device (OIU) and the necessary equipment to this workshop.
By suspending the equipment with the OIU from the crane beam, the RRO of loaded dump trucks is carried out. At the same time, the set of equipment moves the OIU along the long axis of the dump truck, automatically maintaining the specified height from the ore (200-500 mm), irradiating and measuring it.
Usually, the number of dump trucks varies from 50 to 100. The geological testing of the ore measured by the X-ray radiometric unit is performed by the Customer's geological service, and the sample preparation and chemical analysis for the content of useful components are carried out in the Customer's laboratory.
After receiving the results of quantitative analyses of geological sampling, the Customer arranges them in ascending order of the sum of the contents of the useful component, and reports every second result to the Contractor. The Contractor calculates regression dependencies and calculates the contents in the remaining dump trucks based on the RRO data. The obtained calculation results are reported to the Customer and the RRO and GO are compared. Conclusions are drawn about the representativeness of the RRO.
